Your Journey

Genesis 12:1-1  The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you."

When the Lord called Abram to journey out of his land, for a moment, it must have been difficult for him to leave everything he knew.  Abram knew nothing about the journey the Lord would take him through and even though his futuristic cultural surroundings and territories did not seem pleasant nor did they promise him victorious outcomes, he knew that God will never leave him.  He knew that the very person that asked him to leave it all would be right there along his side empowering, strengthening and guiding him through it.

The journeys the Lord takes us through, most of the times, have unpredictable outcomes; however, they are not unpredictable to the Lord.   God directs us, we obey, in return, he fulfills his mission for our lives. Obedience to God's word leads to successful lives.  What awaits at the end of the your journey is nothing but blessings.

Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.  He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.  He put a new sound in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.
