To FORGIVE is to LOVE

I believe that the most difficult emotion one can deal with is finding the means to forgive someone for the wrong they have done to us.  This is where love is tested.  How difficult it is to forgive when your entire soul, spirit and mind has been crushed into pieces so much that in times it becomes impossible to think rationally.

I cannot even begin to express how powerful it is to allow hurt to fester in our hearts.  Having an unforgiving heart robs us from our happiness, peace and love we become prisoners in our own bodies.  It is so powerful that it blinds us from the truth not being able to function as rational people.  Jesus expressed so much how we ought to forgive one another no matter what the situation was.  He never said it would be easy but expressed the necessity of obeying him for in doing so it would free us from the harmful consequences. There is so much that can come out of not forgiving others for one you won’t be able to love others as Jesus called us too, you will never have peace within yourself, and you won’t be able to trust anyone based on your past experiences.

Jesus was clear in Matthew 18:21-22 when he told Peter you must not only forgive seven times but seventy-seven times.  How can this be?  What are we supposed to do with these hurtful feelings?  Well, for one you start by letting go of what you can’t change and letting God do the magic in you.  When you let go you are obeying the Lord by not taken it upon yourself to allow those feelings to control you.  You are giving up what you cannot change.  Recall that God says you forgive and don't take vengeance for vengeance is mine.  Who better than God to deal with your situation for when we allow him to deal with it both parties come out as winners.  What an awesome God.  Jesus knew that by harboring these feelings within us will only lead to bigger problems like causing sickness, depression, anxiety, and mental issues in our lives.

Yes, it is not going to feel comfortable nor pleasing when you forgive, but I can guarantee you it will release a huge load of your back.  You will no longer feel oppressed by your emotions.  Don’t worry about the emotions you are feeling for the Lord will deal with that, just obey and forgive.  It is so much better for you.  Don’t worry about the other person or situation just FORGIVE.  It will bring so much joy and happiness into your life. Don’t give the enemy a chance to come and destroy what you have been working so hard for.  The greatest command we have is to love one another and always have room for forgiveness especially knowing that God continuously is forgiving us for our short falls.

Forgive, for to forgive it to love.   You can't say you love when you have an unforgiving hurt.  You can't have it both ways.  For God has forgiven you and loves you unconditionally.

A wife of noble character

Proverbs 31
10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

As a child I group up with a mom that was loving, caring and nurturing in many ways, however, there were certain characteristics she had that I find myself doing that I am not happy with.  For example:  When I want something done around the house, I find myself yelling, screaming, and getting angry.  This was exactly how my mom expressed herself with her kids.  This is not healthy for me nor my love ones, and it is not beneficial to the home either.  The Lord has brought this to my attention through Proverb 31:10-3, as it spoke directly to my heart.  Although, I find myself being passionate for the things of God, I also know that God wants to change me to become the Christian woman he wants me to be.  I want to change but I find it very difficult because it has become part of me, it has molded me to the woman I am today.  I know this process is not going to be easy but with God everything that is impossible for me is possible through him.  I will trust and be faithful that he will do the work in me.

I wanted to share this because I know that there are many people struggling with emotional behaviors that are above their control, and I know that God, the same way he is doing through me, can deliver you from it, too.  As the bible talks about in Malachi 3:3, “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver and gold, God is exposing and cleansing me from all my impurities.  As God puts me in the midst of the fire, I know I will slowly, with the help of the Holy Spirits, become the noble woman in proverb 31.

We should all want change in our lives it does not matter how much knowledge and wisdom you have.  God is continuously refining and purifying us to the likeness of his son.

I know I will never be perfect in any shape or form,  however, my desire is for my husband and children to experience the best love a wife and mother can ever give them.

Life and Fortune

I know we have all wondered at one point in our lives how great it would be to have wealth and/or be famous.  For a quick moment, I started envisioning what it would be like not worrying about money and having everything my heart desired.

I also began reflecting on the celebrities and the famous people that are influential in today’s generation, and found that many are living lives with no limits, no boundaries, a careless life, and a life without God.  I realized that they once had a purpose that drove them through their journey to success, but now that the dream has been achieved, they have allowed their success to drive them to their destiny.  A life without God is meaningless, is a life without purpose, a life full of emptiness, as we all know that life begins with Christ.   Ecclesiastes 5:19 says, Every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also empowered him to eat from it, and to receive his reward, and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.
Furthermore, I realized that many of them have lost their identity and have allowed money and fame to control their lives.  Luke 16:13 says, “No one can serve two masters.  Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money.”  I can only imagine how extremely difficult it must be to serve God, and also have money, fame, and everything your heart desires.

Absolutely, God has given us the ability to reach our goals and dreams, but more importantly, He wants us to use them for His purpose, too.  Excluding God from our lives, especially when He has given us the ability to succeed, leads to destruction.  James 1:17 says, “Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father who created all the lights in the heavens.”  Always keep in mind that we were created for God’s glory, as Isaiah 43:7 says, “Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory.  It was I who created them.” God’s name is written all over those who worship and praise Him.

In everything we do we must keep God first otherwise everything will fall apart.  Colossians 1:17 says, “He is before all things, and by him all things are held together.”

Dreams and Aspirations!

Do have you dreams or aspirations you wish to accomplish?  What is keeping from pursuing it?

There are many times we dream, and allow it to become dormant in our minds.  Well, you don’t have to be content with your current situation, because God has bigger dreams to accomplish for you. As I Corinthians 2:9 says, “What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard.  It has never even entered our minds!”
Sometimes, we do not pursue, because of fear.  My advice to those who fear is to do it with fear.  2 Timothy 1:7 says, “for God as not given us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of love, power, and self-control.  The worst thing that can happen is that you will fail at it.  Nevertheless, do not be discouraged, become encourage knowing that failing gives you more opportunity to become a skillful dreamer in making your dreams a reality.  Proverb 11:12 says, “Not getting what you want can break your heart, but a wish that comes true is a life-giving tree.”

“An idea is just a dream, until you actualize it!”  Be ambitious about life, seeking greater things and do not limit yourselves knowing that we serve a God with no limitations.  Romans 11:34 says, “Who can measure the wealth and wisdom and knowledge of God?  Who can understand his decisions or explain what he does?
Yes, it is difficult to accomplish things at times, but the reward is greater for those who work diligently.  As my relationship with God strengthens, my faith increases, becoming fearless in reaching what once seemed impossible.  Psalm 91 says, “Live under the protection of God Most High and stay in the shadow of God All-Powerful, then you will say to the Lord, “You are my fortress, my place of safety; you are my God, and I trust you.”

Ask the Lord for knowledge and wisdom.  Pray that He increases your knowledge in all areas, and give you the wisdom to apply the knowledge in your life.
