Repentance of our sins

Mark 1:14-15 Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

Repenting of our sins leads to eternal life, a perfect eternal life with your Creator, God.

We, as a nation, have failed God in so many ways, and he has been exceedingly patient with us all.  Because of his grace, we have the freedom to choose to live for him or for the evil one.  God greatly desires that we accept his plan of salvation in order for us to be reconciled back to our original state through the death of his son, Jesus Christ.

We have to acknowledge that living our lives without the repentance of our sins is displeasing to Him.  Yes, he loves us immensely, however, he does not approve of our sinful behaviors, and therefore, will not commune with us until we turn (repent) from our sinful ways.

We are fortunate to have good outcomes in our lives because of his grace, otherwise, without his gift of grace we would be in ruins.

Now, this is what the bible says about people who have not accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ in their lives nor repented of their sins.  In other words there are still those who live godless lives:

Ephesians 4:17-24

The Old Life and the New Life

17 As a follower of the Lord, I order you to stop living like godless people. 18 Their minds are in the dark, and they are stubborn and ignorant and have missed out on the life that comes from God. They no longer have any feelings about what is right, 19 and they are so greedy that they do all kinds of indecent things.
20-21 But that isn’t what you were taught about Jesus Christ. He is the truth, and you heard about him and learned about him. 22 You were told that your foolish desires will destroy you and that you must give up your old way of life with all its bad habits. 23 Let the Spirit change your way of thinking 24 and make you into a new person. You were created to be like God, and so you must please him and be truly holy.

The word of God will never change no matter what we think.  But I promise you that his word will change your destination if you were to repent and believe it.  God is patiently waiting for you to make the right decision.  Amen!
