The Light

John 12:44-50  44 Then Jesus cried out, “Anyone who believes in me does not believe in me only. He also believes in the One who sent me. 45 When he looks at me, he sees the One who sent me.  46 “I have come into the world to be a light. No one who believes in me will stay in darkness. 47 “I don’t judge a person who hears my words but does not obey them. I didn’t come to judge the world. I came to save it. 48 But there is a judge for anyone who does not accept me and my words. The very words I have spoken will judge him on the last day. 49 “I did not speak on my own. The Father who sent me commanded me what to say. He also told me how to say it. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So everything I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

Praise God!  For Jesus came to save us from eternal hell for nothing else.  Jesus' words don't come from him but from his Father.  Don’t doubt for a moment that Jesus is not with you for his very word says, “for those who believe in me will not stay in darkness.”  He has brought you out of darkness to the light, and not just any light, but the light that gives ETERNAL LIFE.  Because you have accepted and obeyed his Father's words, you have been given eternal life.

Jesus is our LORD, our LIFE, he is the one who motivates our hearts to produce good fruit for the love that flows out of us is not from us but from HIM.  Love is meaningless without Christ for without him we really don't know what love is!

His light constantly shines over us.  His word frees us from everything that is not of him.  His word has given us life, and what’s so beautiful about it is that we are his forever and nothing can ever snatch us away from him.

For those who still have questions about who Jesus is or why did he come, know that he loves you, and sacrificed his life for you in order for you to have eternal life.  He came to give you life, and give it more abundantly.  His life has given you the opportunity to be with his Father forever.

Love doesn't start until you know your Creator through his son Jesus Christ.  There is no other way around this for there is only one way to the Father, and that is by acknowledging what Jesus Christ has done for you, and accepting Him as the Lord and Savior of your life.

What is truth?

John 18:37-38 “So you are a king,” Pilate replied.  “You are saying that I am a king,” Jesus told him. “I was born into this world to tell about the truth. And everyone who belongs to the truth knows my voice.”  Pilate asked Jesus, “What is truth?”

What is truth?  Truth is the real facts about something.

As children, our parents teach us the truth about life as they know best.  As adults, we are shaped by our upbringing, surroundings, education, past and current experiences.  Then, somewhere in our lives we realize that something within us is missing; we find an emptiness within us.  Even though we don’t realize it at the moment, but that missing puzzle within us is the love of our first love.

As unbelievers, we go around living life with a veil over our eyes.  We don’t see nor understand thinks the way God would want us to see them.  At least for me, I thought I knew everything I needed to know about life until I began feeling an emptiness within me.  I always knew there was a God but never understood or knew him the way I do now.  In the past, I thought I was in perfect communion with him if I just called out his name and said a quick prayer.  But now, I know that this is further from the truth for God wants more of us.  He wants to have a loving mutual relationship with us.

Until the day when life’s experiences brought me to my knees, and I finally said Lord, help me?  What I was really asking God was to reveal His Truth to me.  I could no longer live my life without knowing my purpose in life.  I wanted to know my true identity.  Why was I created?  Why do I feel empty when I have everything going for myself?

All these questions were answered when God revealed his truth to me.  When he revealed that I was a sinner that I had failed him miserably, and that there is nothing I could do to make things better between us.  However, he also revealed that even though my righteousness was as filthy as rags, he had a plan to get us reunited.  He had the perfect plan to fill my emptiness.  His truth, which is Jesus Christ, was going to set me free by sacrificing his life.  This truth is only revealed by God, and not by man for there is no greater truth than this.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Share the truth with others for this is the only reason Jesus was born into this world to set us all free.

You are Perfect, Innocent and Free

Ephesians 4:23-24 Let the Spirit change your way of thinking and make you into a new person.  You were created to be like God, and so you must please him and be truly holy.

We all know that our Creator is sovereign, gracious, merciful, perfect and just in all his ways.  He is full of love and all he cares about is reaching us with his love.

We were created to please him, to love him and be in constant communion with him.  Well, because of our disobedience-sinful nature, Jesus had to pave the way to reconcile us back to his Father, but not just any path, he paved a path that would allow God to see us perfect and innocent through him. We no longer have to feel guilty, shameful, unrighteous for Jesus has done away with it all.  Stop living in the past, stop tormenting yourselves, live your life like Christ meant for you to live it, FREE.  Yes, you are free, perfect, innocent in God's eyes! You are no longer in chains!  You see, Jesus suffered tremendously for you so you can now enjoy your relationship with God.

God is so good that with the foreknowledge that we would fail him he still continued with his plan of creation, and in addition, provided a plan of reconciliation.  Amazing!  Alleluia!

We no longer have to suffer for eternity when we depart; we will immediately be with our Creator.  YOU ARE INNOCENT, YOU ARE PERFECT Stop trying to make so difficult.  Accept that you no longer have a guilty case before God, you no longer are a prisoner of this wicked world.  Jesus has set you free.  No more torment, don’t allow the enemy to lie to you for he only came to lie, steal and destroy what Jesus has prepared for us.

Now, there are no excuse as to why you are still submitting or living as the old YOU, yes things will be tough and difficult at first, but if you allow the Holy Spirit of God to change your mindset- YOU WILL HAVE VICTORY in your life.  Why you ask?  Because Jesus has done away with sin for you are no longer of this world, you are no longer driven by the desires of your heart but of the desires of God’s Spirit.  Let the renewal of your mind be transformed by the Spirit and you will see a change in your life.  You are a new person, a new creation in Christ.  Fight those desires for Jesus has done it all for you.  Christ loved us and offered his life for us as a sacrifice that pleases God.  Ephesians 5:2

When Jesus went up on the cross, he made no excuses as to why he shouldn't die for us.  No, for the only reason he was born was to reconcile us back to our Heavenly Father.  Rejoice, and know that God has done it all; all you have to do is submit to his ways.

Let’s live holy before our God.  Let’s remember the life Christ lived on earth for us.  Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to change us so we can live a life that pleases God.

Jesus loves you.  What else does he have to do to get your attention?  What more can he do!  For he has given it all up-already. There’s nothing else, but for you to believe, accept and live it out the life he died for.

I have overcome the World

The Lord said to his disciples, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God, trust also in me.  I am going to my Father to prepare a place for you.  I am the way and the truth and the life, without me no one comes to the Father.”

Jesus Christ did not come to please himself.  He came so that whoever believes in him can have eternal life.  Isaiah revealed the following:

Jesus Christ had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him for there was nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.   He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.  Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

He was pierced for our sins, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.  Many were appalled at him for his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man, and his form marred beyond human likeness.  He was assigned a grave with the wicked and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.  Yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

And our grief will turn to joy through his death we have received forgiveness, everlasting life and made righteous before our God.  Jesus has conquered what no man could ever do; He has overcome the world.  AMEN!

Waiting on the Holy Spirit

The next morning the two angels said to Lot, “Take your wife and your two daughter and get away from here as fast as you can!  But Lot just stood there amazed that the Lord was going to destroy the city.  So the angels took Lot, his wife, and his two daughters by the hand and led them out of the city.  And the angels said, “Run for your lives, don’t even look back.  And don’t stop in the valley.  Run to the hills, where you will be safe.”   Genesis 19:15-17

Are you anxious, impatient and frustrated about a particular situation?  Have you ever considered that God might be testing the strength of your faith and measuring the level of obedience you have towards him?

Don’t go ahead of the Spirit attempting to resolve it on your own strength for you will fail miserably.  He wants to free you from any unhealthy relationships or situations you may find yourself in today.  While you wait on the Holy Spirit, pray about finding God’s knowledge and wisdom for there is where the treasures of your lives lies.  Don’t allow your emotions to contradict what the Spirit is trying to tell you for the flesh is weak.  Instead, we are to live and test all things against the word of God. Constantly meditating upon the word which will lead us to safety.

Be sensitive to the voice of the Spirit for when it directs you to move forward, you must move at that specific moment.  Don’t wonder how to make things better or procrastinate over things you cannot change, but go and be obedient.  It is difficult to leave what you are accustomed to and start anew, but sometimes it is necessary for us to start with a new beginning.

So if you find that God is removing you from a particular situation or relationship be faithful, truthful and obedient to him.  Don’t doubt him, don’t hold on to the past, don’t hold on to what is destroying your relationship with God for he only wants to save you.  He wants to keep you from harm’s way.

2 Corinthians 2:9
But it is just as the Scriptures say,

“What God has planned
    for people who love him
is more than eyes have seen
    or ears have heard.
It has never even
    entered our minds!”

God will rescue you

The King of Egypt changed his mind about letting the Israelites go.  When the Israelites realized that the King’s massive army was after them they were frightened and regretful for leaving what they were accustomed to.  Their hearts were full of despair.  Moses told them “Don’t be afraid! Be brave, and you will see the Lord save you today.  The Lord will fight for you, and you won’t have to do a thing.”  The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you keep calling out to me for help?  Tell the Israelites to move forward.  Then hold your walking stick over the sea.  The water will open up and make a road where they can walk through on dry ground for the Egyptians will know for sure that I am the Lord.”  Exodus 14:13-18

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, says the Lord.  Romans 8:31 If God be for us, who can be against us?  Jeremiah 1:18 Do not be afraid of them for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

Don’t give up!  Don’t you know that you serve a Powerful God!  Believe that you are not alone for God will never abandoned you.  He will fight for you and rescue you from all your adversities.  Don’t lose faith instead become a spiritual warrior by equipping yourself with the most powerful weapon one can obtain, the powerful word of God.  God is faithful and loves you.  There made be times when God will remove you from your comfort zones, however, it does not mean for one moment that he has abandoned you.  On contrary, he wants to get you to a better place, a place that will provide you with more blessings.  When you find yourself in the deepest sorrows recall God’s words, “Why do you keep calling out to me for help?  I am right here I never left you for I know what you are going through, now stop calling me, get up and do your part for I AM YOUR GOD, I WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU.”

Don’t let the enemy’s attack wrap you up with fear.  For fear will only paralyze you giving him more power over your life.  Instead, confront your problems by not letting it defeat you, don’t be afraid and you will experience the Lord's saving hand.  When the enemy comes with his schemes to destroy you know that your Master is in front of you fighting for you.  Remember, the Lord never slumbers.  Therefore, stand strong moving forward with God’s plan in your life.  There is no stopping you when you have God on your side.  God will not allow any weapon of any form to come against you.  He will make a way out of every situation you find yourself in.  He will clear the road for you.

Isaiah 35:8-10 God’s Sacred Highway
A good road will be there, and it will be named “God’s Sacred Highway.”  It will be for God’s people; no one unfit to worship God will walk on that road.  And no fools can travel on that highway.  No lions or other wild animals will come near that road; only those the Lord has saved will travel there.  Amen!

To FORGIVE is to LOVE

I believe that the most difficult emotion one can deal with is finding the means to forgive someone for the wrong they have done to us.  This is where love is tested.  How difficult it is to forgive when your entire soul, spirit and mind has been crushed into pieces so much that in times it becomes impossible to think rationally.

I cannot even begin to express how powerful it is to allow hurt to fester in our hearts.  Having an unforgiving heart robs us from our happiness, peace and love we become prisoners in our own bodies.  It is so powerful that it blinds us from the truth not being able to function as rational people.  Jesus expressed so much how we ought to forgive one another no matter what the situation was.  He never said it would be easy but expressed the necessity of obeying him for in doing so it would free us from the harmful consequences. There is so much that can come out of not forgiving others for one you won’t be able to love others as Jesus called us too, you will never have peace within yourself, and you won’t be able to trust anyone based on your past experiences.

Jesus was clear in Matthew 18:21-22 when he told Peter you must not only forgive seven times but seventy-seven times.  How can this be?  What are we supposed to do with these hurtful feelings?  Well, for one you start by letting go of what you can’t change and letting God do the magic in you.  When you let go you are obeying the Lord by not taken it upon yourself to allow those feelings to control you.  You are giving up what you cannot change.  Recall that God says you forgive and don't take vengeance for vengeance is mine.  Who better than God to deal with your situation for when we allow him to deal with it both parties come out as winners.  What an awesome God.  Jesus knew that by harboring these feelings within us will only lead to bigger problems like causing sickness, depression, anxiety, and mental issues in our lives.

Yes, it is not going to feel comfortable nor pleasing when you forgive, but I can guarantee you it will release a huge load of your back.  You will no longer feel oppressed by your emotions.  Don’t worry about the emotions you are feeling for the Lord will deal with that, just obey and forgive.  It is so much better for you.  Don’t worry about the other person or situation just FORGIVE.  It will bring so much joy and happiness into your life. Don’t give the enemy a chance to come and destroy what you have been working so hard for.  The greatest command we have is to love one another and always have room for forgiveness especially knowing that God continuously is forgiving us for our short falls.

Forgive, for to forgive it to love.   You can't say you love when you have an unforgiving hurt.  You can't have it both ways.  For God has forgiven you and loves you unconditionally.

God knows and understands it all

Things in your life may not be making any sense right now, but know that God knows and understands it all.

Your life may not be where you want it to be, however, be grateful that he has brought you out of where you use to be.

Know that everything you are experiencing passes through God’s eyes.  Be certain that he will make sure your life goes accordingly to his plans no matter what you are going through today.  He will provide the best for you, therefore, don’t be discouraged by your current situation for that will last only for a season.  Believe that everything you are going through he will work out for good.   Yes, it is painful and hurtful at times but know that God understands and feels the same because he loves you.  For the word says that through love and faithfulness, your sins where atoned for.  (Proverbs 16:6)

God has given us tools, his Armor, to extinguish the flames of the enemy, therefore, we ought to put it to use.  We know that the battles we face are spiritual, and are not our battles but God’s.  Be wise and equip yourselves with everything that God has given you for the enemy is persistent in diverting our attention towards our problems and away from God.  Be fearless and stand strong in faith and believe that God has the ultimate plan for your life, and understand that there is nothing that the enemy can do to snatch you away from God’s hands.  For we have been sealed with the blood of Jesus for all eternity -no one can change that.

Jesus paid a hefty price for us so let us show the world through our lives how grateful we are for God’s grace and for the second opportunity he has given us to be with him for all eternity.

As you spend your time planning the course of your life, know that he determines your steps. Always commit to the Lord in whatever you do and all your plans will succeed. (Proverbs 16:3,9)

He loved us first

God swept us away with his love when we acknowledged and accepted what Jesus Christ had done for us on the cross.  We believed that he was implanted in the virgin’s womb by the Holy Ghost, born, lived on earth to preach the gospel of salvation to reconcile us to our first love, died on the cross, resurrected on the third day and ascended to heaven to be with his Heavenly Father until his return for the day of judgment.

Jesus Christ, our Lord, made it all possible with his selfless act of true love when he was being beaten, scorned, spat on, deceived, betrayed and ridicule.  His stripes have shown how much he gave up for us. It did not matter to him that he was being mocked, falsely accused and put to death.  No, he had a mission to release us from condemnation for his love for us took him to the end of his life, and I know that if the Lord had to do it again he would. For his heart yarns for all to be saved and partake of the eternal path he carved for us.

This is why we have to continue loving each another imitating Christ's life in order to win souls for him. When we experience difficulties, we should always recall the suffering he withstood for us when we did not deserve it.

Genuine love is blind it does not see wrong.  This selfless giving love that the Lord had for us is what we ought to provide to other people for it is the love that wins the hearts for the Lord.  Love is the reason for Jesus' death.  Amen!  For none are good no not one.  He loved us first when we were wrong, submerged in wickedness, had no hope within us.  For we all know that without Christ no one comes to the Father.

Today, we can say that we genuinely love God for we walk and live by his ways.  Jesus has given us a gift that could never be replaced-his love.  This love will last for all eternity and the beauty of it is that we all will one day be living with our God.  How wonderful and pleasing is to know that we will be living in his presence forever just as he intended it to be from the beginning.

Now, this is pure love to have created us with the foreknowledge that we would miserably fail him and still continue with his plan of salvation is beyond my understanding.  Awesome!

Live a life of righteousness

We were called to be imitators of God to live a life as Christ did when we were yet sinners.  Not that we have gained Christ’s love by what we have done or are doing, on the contrary, because we love Christ we want our lives to be fruitful producing positive things that will ultimately please the him.  Our minds ought to be filled with pureness and our hearts with humility.  Always being mindful that we are to walk as the light of the world to impact the lives of those that live in darkness.   Never forgetting that we were also once in darkness and thanks to the prayers of others we came to see the light.  As we know that the love that comes out of us shall not be envy, boast, dishonorable, self-seeking, easily angered nor should it keep record of wrongs and delight in any evil. But our love shall protect, persevere, always trustworthy, hopeful, and truthful.

God’s love is for everyone whether good or bad; how great is this love for it never fails.  Therefore, be careful how you live your life for you know that the enemy is prowling around seeking who he can devour.  The ignorant self-centered old man should be put away from within you for it has no communion with God’s Spirit, who is in you.  Therefore, do not partake of any unwholesome talk, foolish behaviors, get rid of the bitterness, anger, rage, brawling and slander and every form of malice within you.  For the fruit of the Spirit empowers you to live righteously, be trustworthy, and be filled of goodness.  Our lives ought to bless others, enlighten their minds, encourage the weak and strengthen their faith.

Knowing that we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption our priority is to continue building God’s kingdom.  Always remember that we are the light of the world separated to live it accordingly to God’s will not ours.

2 Corinthians 3:5-8 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.  Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong—not so that people will see that we have stood the test but so that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed.  For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.

All eyes on Jesus

Can you imagine traveling on a boat in the middle of the lake encountering a storm being swayed in rough waters as Peter experienced?  Imagine how terrifying Peter must have been knowing that his chances of survival were slim.  However in that terrifying and horrific moment the impossible happened he saw Jesus walking on water reaching out for him.  As Jesus walked toward him, Jesus told Peter to come out of the boat and walk towards him.  He also encouraged Peter not to be afraid and take courage for he is with him.  Peter, knowing that it was indeed Jesus, began to walk on water towards him with his eyes completely focused on him.  When suddenly the storm intensified, Peter immediately took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the storm.  Instantly, Peter went through turmoil being consumed by the water and experienced death right before his eyes.  Jesus calmly reaches out and pulls him to safety telling him “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

At times we can become like Peter, we become so frightened of our situation that we take our eyes off Jesus.  Although we may not do it intentionally there are storms of this magnitude that lead us to become weary taking us out of focus and emotionally tossing us in all different directions. In times like these is when we ought to always remember that Jesus continuously walks in the midst of us being vigilant of the unexpected circumstances in our lives.  And when the unexpected happens we are to not become weary nor doubtful, like Peter, knowing that Jesus is right there defending and protecting us.  He will never take his eyes off us and nor should we.

Since we have the word in our hearts, in difficult times, we are to recall his words and use it to fight against our situation.  We are to call things just has the word says knowing that the word will provide us with strength, courage and wisdom.  Just as Peter knew Jesus was calling him, therefore, never doubt that his presence is not with you, no matter what the situation is, he is right there calling your attention telling you to call out for him for he is there ready to do the impossible. Yes, sometimes the storm can be unbearable but know that it will strengthen your faith too.  God will never allow you to be tempted more than you can bear.  Jesus comes at the opportune time for he is never late.

When we take our focus off Jesus, we become stress and overwhelmed with all kinds of emotions not allowing us to focus on what is beneficial and important to us.  It is all a distraction coming from the enemy to get us off Jesus’ plan for our life. Always remember when you fall in fear what Jesus said to Peter, “You of little faith, why do you doubt?”

Isaiah 48:16-17 Come near me and listen to this: “From the first announcement I have not spoken in secret; at the time it happens, I am there.” And now the Sovereign Lord has sent me, endowed with his Spirit.  This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

Amen!

It's not over yet!

Matthew 11:28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Are you at the point where you have found absolutely no solution to your problem and have mentally given up?

Well, when you have done everything in your power to overcome it and have been unsuccessful, now is the time to place your burdens upon the altar, and let Jesus deal with it.  For we know in him is where the solutions lies.  There is absolutely no circumstance that you are going through that Jesus cannot understand nor deal with.  Therefore have faith and completely trust that he will bring you out victoriously for he loves you and cares for you.  While he focuses on our problems, you need to be focus on mediating on his word which will provide you with comfort, rest and peace.

Jesus said come to me because he has guaranteed that he will work it out for you.  He will not contemplate over your issues, no, it is a done deal; he will resolve it no matter what the outcome, he will not abandoned you.  Psalms 91 says, “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.  He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Amen!

Mark 4:38-41 says, Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?  “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.  He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”  They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

For we all know that Jesus cares for us and we know that he never sleeps because he is forever watching over us.  If the storms, wind and waves heed to his word, how much more will our circumstances heed to him.   Colossians 3:16 says, “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Jesus will do it all for us….trust him and trust his word for it is the only thing we should rely on and not our emotions.

Where will I go?

Philippians 1:23 Paul talks about being torn between the two: For he says, I desire to depart and be with Christ, which it is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

What comes to mind when you think of Heaven?  Where is heaven?

Heaven sounds like a beautiful, peaceful, joyful place.  It is the place where our minds take us when we think about our departure on earth.  Yes, we think of it as a glorious place where everyone will be enjoying the wonderful craftiness of God’s hand.  A place were all faithful believers will be feasting together.

However, when I think of heaven I immediately think about being in Jesus’s bosom. Heaven is being reunited with your Creator.  What an amazing vision is to know that one day when your life’s journey comes to end, God’s angels will immediately carry you to Jesus’ bosom just as Lazarus was carried to Abraham’s bosom.  What an awesome feeling to know that Jesus is waiting for the opportune time to be reunited with us.  Yes, heaven will be glorious, beautiful, spectacular, but to be inconstant communion with our Lord cannot be compared to the physical aspect of heaven.

Heaven is visualizing the appointed time when your cares, worries, and torments will be all transform into peaceful and joyful moments.  For all your earthly desires will no longer exists, for our hearts will be all about Jesus about rejoicing in his presence realizing that the earthly things have come to an end and your new eternal life has begun.  Amen!

Heaven is to be forever and ever with Jesus.  NO MORE PAIN, NO MORE TORMENT, NO MORE EARTHLY THINGS, NO MORE AGONY…….

AND MORE AND MORE OF JESUS.  We look forward to eternal pleasures what I wonderful vision.  Get excited about the heavenly relationship that awaits us.  There is so much more we have to experience; the best is just to come.

All the great blessings God has given us here on earth can NEVER be compared to the eternal blessings that awaits us.  Jesus is waiting patiently for the opportune time.  Alleluia!  Praise God.  Amen!

Heaven is to be with JESUS for all eternity.  AMEN!

The Anointing

I remember when I first heard of the Gospel about 20 years ago the pastor at the church constantly talked about being anointed by the Holy Spirit.  We don’t hear that anymore, as we should.  In the Old Testament, people were anointed with oil to signify God’s blessing or call upon their lives.  The word anointing means to smear or rob oil on, in other words, to be set aside, sanctified, be blessed by God to do his will/purpose in our lives.

Well, John 1:20 says, “But you, “us”, have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you, “us”, know the truth.  Wow! God is awesome!  He covers his children with righteousness and truth through his son Jesus Christ, the “Anointed One.”  You see, God’s truth is in us there is no darkness in his truth, therefore, every single blessing is full of life, purpose and pureness.  Alleluia!  As long as we walk in accordance to God’s commands, we shall always walk in his truth.

How can we be certain about this?  Well, I am glad you asked.  We already know we have been commission to spread the Gospel by the Holy One, himself, Jesus Christ.  Therefore, we have been smeared, anointed by the Holy Spirit’s power.  God has given us his blessings to do his will in our lives.  God, through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, has given us his mysteries and secrets.  What an awesome God to share his inner thoughts with us.

We are loved my friends.  We, as Christians, not only have been made in his image and likeness, but we are being transformed to have his attributes and characteristics.  You mean, at times I have the ability to act like Christ, Yes.  When we perform the will of God in our lives it is only by the Power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to facilitate God’s love through us to others.  It is not by our might but by his might.  Amen!

John 1:27 says, "As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit- just as it has taught you, remain in him."

What other confirmation do we need than this?  There is nothing else to say, but go as the Lord commanded, let us spread his word, let us impact others with our lives for this is why he came to give the entire world the opportunity to be with him for all eternity. As we all know this is all temporary, let us please our Lord, Jesus Christ with our lives since he has already blessed us with his. Amen!

God gives and nurtures the desire in you

Genesis 12:1 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go out from your country, your relatives, and your father’s household to the land that I will show you.  I could only imagine the emotions Abraham had experienced when the Lord told him to leave his life to pursue a new one.  With all the unknowns, he was faithful and obedient to follow God’s command.

Sometimes, the dreams God gives us seem impossible, unrealistic, or unreachable but that is the beauty of serving a powerful God; we do not know how he’s going to make it happen but we rest in that he does.

You see, God inputs the desire of that dream/vision in our hearts so we can go an accomplish it.  Know that He will never give you a desire that He will not bring to pass.  Our job is to listen, be obedient and faithful in the things he gives you.  Without a question, you will walk through uncomfortable valleys, but know that he is with us.  There may be moments of doubtfulness or insecurities however know that he will clear your path, as they are just distraction attempting to sway you from he’s blessings.  He did not say it was going to be easy but he has promised his knowledge, wisdom, protection, grace, faithfulness, to us all.

There are times when we don’t pursue because of fear.  My advice to those who fear is to do it with fear.  2 Timothy 1:7 says, “for God as not given us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of love, power, and self-control.  The worst thing that can happen is that you will fail at it.  Nevertheless, do not be discouraged, become encourage knowing that failing gives you more opportunity to become a skillful dreamer in making your dreams a reality.  Proverb 11:12 says, “Not getting what you want can break your heart, but a wish that comes true is a life-giving tree.”

Sometimes our dreams don’t become a reality because we allow it to remain dormant in our minds.  Well, you don’t have to be content with your current situation because God has bigger dreams to accomplish for you.  I Corinthians 2:9 says, “What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard.  It has never even entered our minds!”  You do not know exactly how he’s going to make that dream a reality, hey, you don’t even a plan, but know that God does, your job is to act on it.  Start making plans in making it happen by taking small steps.

Did you know that an idea is just a dream until you actualize it?  Be ambitious about life, seeking greater things and do not limit yourselves knowing that we serve a God with no limitations.  Romans 11:34 says, “Who can measure the wealth and wisdom and knowledge of God?  Who can understand his decisions or explain what he doesWithout a doubt, it is difficult to accomplish things at times, but the reward is greater for those who work diligently.

As your relationship with God strengthens, your faith increases becoming fearless in reaching what once seemed impossible.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Greater is He that is in you

Acts 1:4 Jesus said to his disciples, “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised.”  Acts 1:8 “For you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.”

Well, what are you waiting for?  Jesus’ journey has been completed and has given you the power under his authority to do greater things than he did.  The power is not only with you, it is in you for the Lord promised he will not leave you as orphans; he will come to you no matter what you are going through in your life.  He is faithful and promised to turn your life around.  You must not see things the way the world presents them to you, for we know that we ought to walk by faith not by sight.  This world has only one purpose and that is to strip you away from God’s path to destruction.  But know that our eyes, minds and hearts have been sharpen by the Spirit of God.  The Spirit of truth shares with you God’s inner secrets to strengthen your spiritual walk.

Therefore, beloved children, set yourselves to move mountains for the Lord has given you the power to do so.  Stop doubting yourself for the Lord believes in you, and so should you.  Remind yourself of the salvation the Lord has provided for you, shield yourself with great faith, protect yourself by continuously abiding in him, immerse and equip yourself with his words to withstand the attacks of the enemy, stand firm with the gospel believing that it shall take you to victorious places, know also that you are righteous through Christ, who strengthens you, and finally never stop praying for we know that he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Be determined to accomplish everything and anything your heart desires do not be limited by what you have been accustomed or conditioned to.  Believe, hope and continue to strengthen your faith for nothing is impossible for you. For all you have to do is dig deep into your heart to find God's inner desires pressing you to do as you wish while he affirms that he is with you through it all.

John 14:12-13 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.  And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Run without ceasing

Are you tired of running the race?  Don’t give up or become weary for the prize is worth the race.

Yes, you will fall at times, but you won’t be defeated, there will be times when you will become extremely exhausted and helpless, however, know that the Lord will never leave you nor forsake.  The Holy Spirit’s ongoing presence will empower and energize you with his power to overcome all the obstacles that come against you.  Just as David sought the Lord when he was in his weakest and lowest moments, we should do the same, for he knew that his merciful and forgiving God would provide him with a new refreshed spirit.

Seek the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul for those who live under the protection and stay in the shadow will say, “He is my fortress, my place of safety, he is my God, and I will always trust him.  Keep running without ceasing for the he will keep you safe from the secret traps of the enemy for he will spread his wings over you keeping you secure, Psalm 91 Amen! “

Run for the prize for this prize lasts forever, as you are not merely running for a tangible metal, no not at all, you are running for the crown of life.  When you become weary think about being in the presence of the Lord for all eternity knowing that you will forever be happy and never suffer again.  For we know what we are experiencing now is all temporary, therefore, don’t lose hope remain strong in your faith.  Ask the Lord to renew your strength and provide you with new blessings for he will show you his saving power.

Rejoice, for the Lord loves the praises of his people for he is worthy of all our worship.  For his glorious power and mighty strength will bring us to the end of our journey to live with him forever.  What a wonderful prize this is to know that one day WE will be with our High Priest, Prince of Peace, our personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ – the Word – the I Am – God, himself.  Our finite minds cannot even imagine how glorious this will be. Amen!  For now, we can at least fantasize about it until the Lord's return.

Revelation 21:1-7
A New Heaven and a New Earth
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”  He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

The hope within you

Hope is all we have.  Absolutely, we don’t live in a perfect world.  At times, this world can inflict us with hurt and pain; however, we should have a different perspective on suffering than the world.  For the word says, out of suffering we develop perseverance which in turn strengthens our character, and then character empowers us with hope.  God through the Holy Spirit demonstrates how much he loves us, and provides reassurance the he will bring to pass those feelings of expectation groaning within us.

Whenever you are experiencing disappointment and discouragement in your life, know that Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance God's words to comfort you. Believe that in God’s perfect timing all your hopes will become a reality.  There is no reason for you to think otherwise when God’s infallible word contradicts your negative thoughts and circumstances.   At this particular moment is when the renewing of your mind needs to be exercised, for we know that we are not to be conformed to the things of this word, but to the teaching of the Holy Spirit.

Rest in knowing that when we were enemies of God, he plotted the greatest plan for humanity -"The Perfect Plan of Salvation.”  How much more will he provide now that we are his friends, children, co-heirs of Jesus Christ, partakes of his glory? We have it all in Christ.  Amen!

Live life, as the Lord said in John 10:10, “I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly.”  Deuteronomy 28:2 says, “All blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.”

There is so much reassurance of God’s love for us in his word.  Amen!
