God's people are grateful and thankful

We have been chosen to be God’s special people.  His spirit dwells in us giving us the power to withstand the schemes of the enemy.  No longer shall we act like powerless creatures as sin no longer rules over our lives.  We live to glorify his holy name and to please him.  We love because God loved us first.  We desire to serve God because he has imputed special gifts in our hearts to further his kingdom.  Today is the day we are to praise our Lord for all the wonderful things he has done and is doing in our lives.

He will show us everything he wants us to accomplish in him through his glorious power.  The one that died for everyone has been crowned with glory and honor, and led many to be saved and share his glory, Hebrew 2:9-10.  Thank you Lord for your wonderful and marvelous ways.  We are thankful to be part of your eternal plans.

Lord, you became one of us, so you could serve your Father, as our merciful and faithful high priest, and sacrificed yourself for the forgiveness of our sins.  And now that you have suffered and were tempted, you can help anyone else who is tempted, Hebrew 2:17-18.

Therefore, rejoice and give thanks to our Mighty King, Jesus Christ.  The victory is yours because he has made it possible.  You have power through him so start using it, your life has meaning in him so start acting like.

Praise God today with a grateful and thankful heart.  Rejoice!

Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving grateful praise.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Colossians 14:16-17
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Our transformation

Ever thought about the complexity of the butterfly’s life cycle.  All butterflies have complete metamorphosis, a major change in their appearance and character.  The most interesting stage is when the caterpillar enters the chrysalis process which is where the caterpillar goes through the transformation of becoming a butterfly.  The short lived caterpillar’s old body parts are transforming and emerging into this new beautiful butterfly.

We also have a complete metamorphosis process.  We were once living our lives, like the short lived caterpillar, with one purpose in mind to serve the master of this world, whose spirit empowered us to do sinful things against God.  However, through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we enter into the chrysalis process, just as the caterpillar, when we accept the Lord Jesus Christ into our lives allowing the Holy Spirit to renew our minds and make us into a new person.  In other words, the Spirit transforms us to be like God.  You see, you should no longer reflect on the old you as it was short lived, it is irrelevant, it has no value in your new life.  You are a new creation in Christ the old has passed no longer in existence.

For many of us, we are still in the stage of transformation, however, one day this process will be completed when our mortal bodies are changed to immortal bodies and the perishable will be clothed with the imperishable, and then we will say “Death has been swallowed up in Victory,” 1 Corinthians 15:51-54.  Then we will fly as the beautiful butterfly when it emerges out of the pupa (chrysalis).  We too will be free to live in God’s kingdom forever and forever.

Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

You have been sealed

Just as we write letters to our love ones and seal it with love, God has done the same with us.  Our Heavenly Father has written his letter of love in our hearts and sealed us with his Holy Spirit.  Because we believed God, we have inherited all his blessings here on earth.  We don’t have to wait for our departure, no, everything God has planned for us can be experienced today, right now.  All we have to do is continue being faithful trusting that the one who has laid the foundation for us, Jesus Christ, will bring us through it.

The Holy Spirit gives us knowledge, wisdom and revelation to help us know God better.  God’s desire is to be intimately engaged in our personal lives because he wants to shine through us.  His grace did not stop when we accepted his gracious gift of salvation, no, there is so much more he wants to share with us.  He wants you to experience heaven in your life.  Heaven is not just waiting to be present with the Lord when we depart, on the contrary, heaven is knowing God’s love, knowing who he is, experiencing all the goodness he has for us wherever we are, whether on earth or in heaven.  God is not a limited Spirit.  His incomparably great power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is the power we have as believers, Ephesians 1:19.

Ultimately, we can all experience God’s power if we allow him to freely work in our lives.  There is nothing but greatness and blessings in his Spirit.  We possess this power within us, therefore, know that there are no limitations in what we can do, there are no dreams we cannot accomplish, there are no situations he cannot bring us through. Why?  Because He loves YOU!

This invaluable precious marked we have been sealed with, the Holy Spirit, shall dwell with God’s faithful people until the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave it all for us.  What a wonderful gracious gift.  Your Lord has done it all for YOU!  All he wants is to win your LOVE!  Amen!

Deuteronomy 10:12 “Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”

God's Compass

Awesome are the ways of the Lord.  You can count your blessings when you put all your faith in him.

Imagine living your life with the perfect invaluable compass guiding your journey.  This is exactly what the Lord provides for those who put their trust and faith in him.  His compass is centered in truth as it aligns and directs your life to his path.

You can remain confident that every decision you are about to make the Lord is concern about no matter how minimal.  God cares and wants to see you through it.  Absolutely, there may be distractions but know that God is always a head of you with a victorious plan. He will not allow anything or anyone to come between his plan for your life.  Be encourage and faithful that the Lord will see you through his promises, as you know that his promises are always a Yes to those who stay in his path.

It does not matter what you are going through, what you are feeling, what you are seeing, what you have been told, God, your Creator, the one who laid the heaven and earth to win your love, the one who created You for his purpose and glory will not take his healing hands off of his precious creations.  His unfailing love will take you to the end of your journey.  He is watchful, attentive, concern, willing, able to do everything it takes to keep you in his bosom.

The Lord’s love for you endures forever, He hears you, He knows you, He believes in you, He fights for you, and He will see that YOU are comforted.

There is so much more the Lord has for you just wait upon him.  His promises will come to pass nothing can change that.  Just wait.  Just wait.  God’s compass never fails.  The Holy Spirit, the compass of our lives, will never forsake you.

A thankful heart to a faithful God

Where would I be if not for God's grace?  Thank God for his gift of undeserved kindness for his mercies endure forever.

Ever wonder how patient God is with us.  How marvelous are his works.  This morning, I would like to express how grateful I am that God never gave up on me.  All my happiness is due to his unfailing love.  He completes me in every area of my life.  The more I immerse in his word the more my life prosper the more I want to live to express his love to others.  His greatness provides a perpetual satisfying enjoyment in my heart just hearing the sound of his name comforts my soul, it brings rest to my spirit and soul.  What a wonderful feeling to personally know your Creator to know that you were created for his glory.

I am currently in a state that no matter what my circumstances are nothing can pull me from being faithful to my Savior, who has given it all up for me, and for that I have denounce everything that is apart from God.  He has guaranteed his faithfulness and protection to me for eternity.

He promises to carry me throughout my entire life until we reunite to be together forever.  How wonderful is our God.  Words cannot express how thankful I am to serve a faithful God who has chosen me, above all my failures, to be part of his kingdom.

    Psalm 117
    Come Praise the Lord
All of you nations, come praise the Lord!
    Let everyone praise him.
His love for us is wonderful; his faithfulness never ends.
    Shout praises to the Lord!

All I want is Christ

Aside from Christ, you will never feel completely satisfied.

Before I came to Christ, I always wondered why I never felt full satisfaction after I had accomplished my goals, dreams, or ambitions. Although, I do remember feeling great excitement chasing after it, once it was obtained, my emotions went spiraling down.  I know now it was all temporary satisfaction.

Have you ever felt that way?

Well, in Philippians 3:7-10 Paul mentions that Christ has shown him that what he once thought was valuable is worthless.  Nothing is as wonderful as knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.  All he wants is Christ and to know that he belongs to Christ.

Isn't this what we are all looking for?  We want to feel wanted, loved, and needed.  We want to feel like we matter to someone. God says you matter; he is the only one who can bring true love to your life.  Satisfaction comes from him.  Chase after him and everything else will be added unto you.

Psalm 107
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
for he satisfies the thirsty

and fills the hungry with good things.

Matthew 5
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.

What’s satisfying you today?  Is it God’s love or the world’s love?

Your harvest is coming!

You have been on the same wagon for a while now, and you haven’t seen any good results, yet.  In other words, you have not produced a harvest for your good works.

Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up.

I know how difficult it is to do good deeds and not get any recognition nor appreciation from anyone.  From a glance, things may seem as if there are no purpose in pursuing your ambitions or works.  At times, you may feel the desire to quit, because you’re not seeing the results you had anticipated.

However, I want to tell you not to stop pursuing that very desire in your heart, because the time will come when the Lord will reward you for all your hard work.  Always, remember that if you have a passion for it, it’s because God has given it to you.  Go for it!  Never mind what the critics say, you will always have oppressors in your life.

In everything you do, remember that God is constantly in the process of grooming us to fulfill his purpose in our lives.  God will reward you at the opportune time, as we all know, that all good things come from him.  James 1:17 says, Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change shifting shadows.

You are the servant of the Almighty God, who better than he to reward you.  Therefore, continue being obedient to the Lord, and be of good cheer, because everything good you sow will reap a good harvest, in his timing.  Don’t Give Up!  God has a plan for you, a plan to see you succeed and prosper.  Jeremiah 29:11

Faith in Action

Hebrew 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”  Faith is being absolutely sure, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the faith you have in Jesus Christ will get you what you hope for, which is what God has promised to his children.

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.  10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

So it is with us, God calls his children to follow his path.  A path that leads us to our inheritance, which is the promise we hope for.  As God takes us through our journey, we have to be mindful that things at times can become rocky, although, it does not mean God is not with us.  In the contrary, he has his light over us every moment of our lives guiding, protecting and empowering us.

You see, Abraham did not have a perfect path, he did not know God’s plan for his life, but he obeyed.  He did not know why God had him go through difficulties, but he preserved.  He did not have a plan nor he knew how we was going to accomplished it, but he knew God would provide a plan.  Always, remember that Abraham had tremendous faith without seeing the promise, without hearing the Gospel, without having the written word.  So then, why fret, when we have been given everything with substantial evidence that Jesus Christ will never leave you nor never forsake you, Hebrews 13:5.

We need to look forward to the thinks God has placed in our hearts.  God is the architect and the builder of our lives.  He is interested in every single detail of our life, and he wants to perfect us through his son.  He won’t stop until He gets there.  God at times gives us a glimpse of his plan, but he will never reveal it all at once, therefore, be patient and seek, and know that no matter what you are going through God has the final say in your life.  Amen!

You are everything to Christ

Sometimes, insecurity creeps up in our minds pounding negative thoughts doubting the love God has for us.  Of course, we have done things in our lives that can justify for those thoughts.  At times we may feel that God is angry with us, however, that is far from the truth.  God loves you, he may not be happy with your actions, but you should never feel that God does not care for you.

Well, here what Paul says about how we should feel as children of God.

Ephesians 1:11-14 NIV

11 In him we were also chosen,[a] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

The reality is that we had nothing to do with God’s plan of salvation, but everything to do with why he did it.  He did for YOU, for the entire world, for everyone who willingly chooses to accept the gift that has been given to us through his son, Jesus Christ.  His grace is upon us all this is why we are able to receive his blessings.  Listen, He predestined you before forming the foundation of this earth.  You see, you did not have a say on this, God loved you so much that he wants to give you the opportunity to enjoy what he has to offer you; he wants you with him.

Predestine is the belief that everything that will happen has already been decided by God and cannot be changed.  This is where faith comes into play, we accept Jesus as our savoir believing that He has paid/cleared the path for us to be seen as righteous before God.  When you act on this, you have been sealed, you have been given a free pass to Heaven with no penalties.  Your sealed is the Spirit of God, how awesome it is to have been given the best pass of your life, and not have to do anything to get it.  It is just a matter of believing on what God has done for you through his son.

So, the next time you become doubtful remember your free pass, remember what Christ has done for You, His blood has covered You for eternity.  Your life is secured in him.

What are your motives?

Proverbs 16:1-16
All a person’s ways seem pure to them,
but motives are weighed by the Lord.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.
The Lord works out everything to its proper end—
even the wicked for a day of disaster.
The Lord detests all the proud of heart.
Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way,
he causes their enemies to make peace with them.
Better a little with righteousness
    than much gain with injustice.
In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps.
11 Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord;
all the weights in the bag are of his making.
16 How much better to get wisdom than gold,
to get insight rather than silver!

Are you getting a head of the Lord?  Have your plans been approved by Him?  Well, take a moment from your busy schedule to ask the Lord for guidance, knowledge and wisdom for all your plans if you want to succeed.  And, I don’t mean success by how the world sees it, rather, by how the Creator gives it.

Many times I have made this mistake, and refuse to continue down this path.  Whatever your plans are, whatever your heart desires inquire first with the Lord, who better than He to bless your path, to bless your future.  Your plans are on God’s list whether he approves it or not.  Sometimes, in the moment of excitement, we don’t see God’s plan for our lives, however, we still have enough wisdom to know that we first run it through the Lord, as we know he continuously reviews the motives of our hearts.  God is not focus on what you do or not do; his focal point is determining why you are doing it, and what is driving you to do it?   What are the motives behind your plans!

Resist doing things your way, and God will ensure your plans succeed.  If your plans are great as you think they are, God will agree with you, as we know that the Lord works everything out for his purpose, not ours.  Well, if you think about it, you only want God’s purpose in your life, not yours.  God rejoices when we ask for his guidance and walk in righteousness through his son, Jesus Christ.

How clear is Solomon in Proverbs 15:9, “In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.”  Absolutely, we are to make plans for our future, we should have aspirations, however, whatever the case, God approves it.  He sees right through your heart.  He knows your thoughts, the reasoning behind your plans, he knows it all.

Proverbs 15:13, “Honest scales and balances are from the Lord; all the weights in the bag are of his making.”   The Lord is the scale and balance of your life.  He measures how far you will get with your plans.  Everything you have planned for (weights in your bag) will be authorized according to the measure of His will.

I ask again, what are your motives?  Do they measure to God’s will?  Better yet, how far have you gotten on your own?

The Healing Process

2 Corinthians 12:5-10 Paul states, there was given to me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.  Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.  But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Grace is the free unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.  Therefore, Paul boast all the more gladly about his weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on him.  He delighted in his weaknesses and difficulties for through his weakness, Christ made him strong.

As I ask my Lord to deliver me from my emotional distress, I believe that he will bring a miraculous healing in this area of my life.  This is not something that just appeared in my life, no, what happened was that now that God is using me for his ministry He has reminded me of that thorn that has been festering in my life keeping my body, mind and soul captive, and not wanting to deal with it.  As we all know that God is constantly cleansing and purifying our hearts, he allowed my emotions to be stirred up to the point that I had no way out, but to face it head on.  Which is really the best thing for me, however, the process is not pleasant nor comfortable.

For a moment, I can relate with Paul in feeling helpless but joyful at the same time.  Yes, this is my weakness and I know that Jesus will continue to do his work in me no matter what my adversities or imperfections are, and he will not give up on me, even though, I seem to feel I am failing him.  It is not about what I do or not do for God, but its about how faithful I am in believing that no matter the outcome or the result He provides for me, I know that he will give me the best and greatest remedy of all because he loves me, and will never leave me helpless to fend for myself.

He is strong while I am weak.  He will have the last word in my life.

A wife of noble character

Proverbs 31
10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

As a child I group up with a mom that was loving, caring and nurturing in many ways, however, there were certain characteristics she had that I find myself doing that I am not happy with.  For example:  When I want something done around the house, I find myself yelling, screaming, and getting angry.  This was exactly how my mom expressed herself with her kids.  This is not healthy for me nor my love ones, and it is not beneficial to the home either.  The Lord has brought this to my attention through Proverb 31:10-3, as it spoke directly to my heart.  Although, I find myself being passionate for the things of God, I also know that God wants to change me to become the Christian woman he wants me to be.  I want to change but I find it very difficult because it has become part of me, it has molded me to the woman I am today.  I know this process is not going to be easy but with God everything that is impossible for me is possible through him.  I will trust and be faithful that he will do the work in me.

I wanted to share this because I know that there are many people struggling with emotional behaviors that are above their control, and I know that God, the same way he is doing through me, can deliver you from it, too.  As the bible talks about in Malachi 3:3, “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver and gold, God is exposing and cleansing me from all my impurities.  As God puts me in the midst of the fire, I know I will slowly, with the help of the Holy Spirits, become the noble woman in proverb 31.

We should all want change in our lives it does not matter how much knowledge and wisdom you have.  God is continuously refining and purifying us to the likeness of his son.

I know I will never be perfect in any shape or form,  however, my desire is for my husband and children to experience the best love a wife and mother can ever give them.

Christ is preached!

In Philippians 1:12-18, Paul expresses how his imprisonment for Christ has encouraged and uplifted his prison brothers in Christ, so much that they preached Christ in their midst.  However, he also noted that even though some were doing it out of envy and rivalry, and others out of the goodness of their hearts, he rejoiced because Christ was preached.

Yes, it is true that Christ shall be preached for all the good reasons more importantly to save the lost, however, when you think about it for whatever reason Christ is preached we rejoice because in hearing the good news many will be saved.  Think about it, if there is a person that has never heard of Christ and hears about Him through a selfish ambition preacher and gets saved, I believe it was all worth it.  Yes, those who preach Christ for all the wrong reasons will be judge by God, however, whenever we hear Christ we are to rejoice that through the preaching Christ will work a miracle in everyone that speaks and hears it.  This person is now a new creation because of Christ not because of what anyone has done.  Christ does the work within us.  Whether you agree or disagree with how Christ is being preached let us continue to rejoice because Christ's name is being preached all over the world in hopes that many will be saved before His coming.

Philippians 1:17-18 Paul ends with:  (I love Paul by the way I love his passion for Christ.  His words come alive when I read them.)

The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.  But what does it matter?  The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached.  And because of this I rejoice.  AMEN!

God works in mysterious ways, who knows what plans God has for the selfish ambition preacher, who knows He may save him, too.  It is all in God’s hands.

God planted the gift in you so do it!

Do whatever God wants you to do.  Do not over think things because you will begin to doubt.  God will never give you a talent/gift that you cannot accomplish.  Although, you may not have all the steps to complete the tasks, however, God does.  He has it all laid out for you; He will bring it to pass.  Jesus said in Luke 12:11, “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say. “

The Holy Spirit will teach and equip us to do everything God wants us to do.  He will provide us with strength when the opposition comes against us.  1 John 4:4 says, “But you belong to God, my dear children.  You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world."  There is nothing that should keep us from reaching God’s goals.  No matter what the opposition, we need to continue to press on the things of God.  Our Creator will make it all come to pass as we stand strong faithfully trusting our Lord Jesus Christ.

Stay focus on the heavenly things

From the beginning of time, people have dealt with problems throughout their entire lives. When my family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers are dealing with an issue, I indirectly become affected by it, because I care and love them.  Even though I know I cannot do anything to make their situation better I know that God hears my prayers, and is the only one who can relieve them from their situation.

When dealing with difficult circumstances seek first the things of God, whether it’s being in constant prayer, mediating on the word, attending church events, bible study and/or surrounding yourselves with healthy people that love you.  You will see a drastic change in your life and in the situation.  Essentially, placing your entire life in God’s hand is what keeps us from falling apart.  When you are facing difficulties do not place your strength on resolving the problem because it will defeat you.  We know we can do nothing without first seeking the strength of Jesus, as he said it clearly in John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

There is a reason why Jesus emphasized to seek first the kingdom of God in Matthew 6:33-34 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”  God knows everything we need, He loves and cares for us and wants nothing but the best for us.  Our duty is to continue to seek him diligently as he focuses on fulfilling our desires and dreams.
